Journal of Regional Anesthesia & Ultrasound (JRAU) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to regional anesthesia, ultrasound-guided procedures, perioperative pain medicine, and innovation in anesthetic practice.

JRAU provides a focused platform for clinicians, researchers, educators, and trainees working in ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia and related perioperative fields.

Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word (.docx) format, using 12-point Times New Roman font, double line spacing, and 2.5 cm margins on all sides. Pages and lines should be numbered throughout.

Required Files at Submission

  • Main manuscript file (anonymized, no author information)
  • Title page (title, all authors, affiliations, corresponding author contact)
  • Cover letter addressed to the Editor-in-Chief
  • Ethics committee approval statement or exemption
  • Conflict of interest (COI) declaration for all authors
  • Author contribution statement (CRediT taxonomy recommended)
  • Informed consent statement (for case reports and studies involving patients)

Original Research: up to 4,000 words · References: up to 40
Review Articles: up to 5,000 words · References: up to 60
Case Reports: up to 2,000 words · References: up to 20
Technical Notes: up to 1,500 words · References: up to 15
Letters to the Editor: up to 600 words · References: up to 5

References

References should follow Vancouver style and be numbered consecutively in the order they appear in the text. Journal abbreviations should follow Index Medicus/MEDLINE standards.

Artificial Intelligence Policy

Authors must disclose any use of AI tools in manuscript preparation. AI tools may not be listed as authors. Responsibility for accuracy and integrity of AI-assisted content lies solely with the authors.

Peer Review

JRAU employs a double-blind peer review process. All submitted manuscripts are initially screened by the editorial team for scope and quality, then assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers. Authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other throughout the process. The editorial decision is communicated to the corresponding author upon completion of review.

JRAU follows international standards for publication ethics, peer review, authorship transparency, conflict of interest disclosure, data integrity, and responsible use of artificial intelligence in scientific writing.

All submitted manuscripts are expected to comply with ethical principles including appropriate ethics committee approval, informed consent where applicable, plagiarism avoidance, and transparent reporting.
